 GROUP PLAY STANDINGS

The team listed first will be designated the home team and should wear white/light jerseys and white/light socks.
The team listed second will be designated the visiting team and should wear dark jerseys and dark socks.

All games played on April 22, 23, & 29 that are tied at the end of regulation will go immediately to shoot-out (regulations for the IHSA State series will apply). The tie is the official result of the contest; the shoot-out will be used for tournament advancement purposes. All of the games on April 30,, other than the championship game, will be official if the game is tied at the end of regulation.   If the championship game is tied at the end of regulation, there will be, at most, two 10 minute sudden victory periods before the shoot-out.

SEEDING CRITERIA DURING GROUP PLAY
                    1. Most Points (win=4pts, loss=0pts, shoot-out win=2 pts, shoot-out loss=1pt)

                    2. Head to head competition

*In case of a three way tie:*

                        1. 1 point for goal differential (only involving the tied teams), with a maximum of 3 per game.

                        2. If #1 fails to break the tie, then 1 point for a shut-out (only involving the tied teams).

                        3. If #1 and #2 fail to break the tie, then either the earliest goal or the latest goal scored, in games
involving the tied teams (to be determined by draw of the tournament directors).

*Once the three way tie has been broken, if two teams remain tied, we will return to head-to-head competition.*

Site assignments and game times will be available on Sunday, April 24 by 12:00 pm.  To access this information, dial (630) 420-6966 ext. 1264.  A printed version of the information will be faxed to competing schools by Monday, April 25.

SEEDED PLAY SCHEDULE
After the first weekend, teams will be assigned a site based on their performance in group play.  All of the #1 seeds will qualify for the championship bracket of the tournament.  For the remaining 12 teams, the tournament directors will make every effort to create match-ups that avoid teams playing an opponent multiple times during the year (this may not be possible for all teams).
