1) The dates for summer league tryouts for the 2002 sophomore and varsity teams are Tuesday May 28 at 3:30, Thursday May 30 at 3:30 and if necessary Tuesday June 4 and Thursday June 6 . The tryout will take place at the practice fields on West Street after school.

2) Now is the time to sign up at the park district for the summer camp the week of June 17 - 21. The camp is from 8:00 till 10:30 at the West Street practice fields. This is a good chance to begin putting together the teams for the fall. See park district mailing for registration details.

3) The starting date for regular practice is Monday, August 19.

All returning players should report at 8:00 AM till 11:00. Varsity and sophomore players should plan on a second session in the afternoon at 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM.

Freshmen should also report at 8:00 AM till 11:00. Bring water and practice gear.

Varsity candidates need to run a minimum of 3000 meters in 12 minutes,
JV players 2800 meters,
sophomore players 2600 meters,
freshmen players 2400 meters.

4) All players trying out for soccer must have a physical and parent permit on file in the athletic office in order to tryout in the fall. The Athletic Office will be open the week prior to the start of the season. Make your doctor’s appointments early.
