The Beebe Bugle is published 8 times during the school year. It provides a monthly calendar of events, letters from the Principal and Home and School President, and information and updates about Beebe happenings. Bugle issues are also posted monthly on the Beebe website on the calendar page.
Making its debut for the 2006-2007 school year this guide was written by parents for parents - with lots of help from Beebe administrators and staff. Its aim is to answer many of the commonly asked questions in an easy-to-read format. Click here for the latest revision of the guide!

On the first day of the new school year your child will need school supplies predetermined by Beebe teachers. In the spring of each year the Home and School provides the opportunity to order school supplies for the following school year. This is not a fundraiser for Beebe. This is a service to you and is highly encouraged by our teachers. It has been a helpful, efficient method for ensuring students are equipped with all they need and helps achieve uniformity between the students in terms of supplies. Please note that you are not required to purchase your child’s supplies through this program. For complete supply lists and ordering information please see the School Supply Lists link on the Beebe website (above).
School, Family, Community Partnership (SFCP) - This organization works with the Home and School to run family events such as the Ice Cream Social, Read Naturally Program, school-wide surveys, Family Connections and Turn off the TV week.

The
big event at Beebe is Pumpkin Fest. This old-fashioned fun fair is
almost 50 years old. It takes the efforts of some special organizers
and hundreds of volunteers to bring the entire Beebe community together
for a day of fun for everyone; games with prizes, raffles, food and
entertainment. Prizes are donated by many local businesses and parents.
All funds raised go toward purchasing technology for Beebe. |

Market
Day is a fund-raising food co-op. Every month a list of items available
is sent home with students. The food is of high quality; the meats
are restaurant quality, vacuum packed and easy to prepare, the produce
is fresh from Water Street Market. 10% of the sales goes to the Beebe
Home & School Association. |

Beebe
Home & School is able to fund its services and activities because
of the generous support of the parents and community. Parents can
support Beebe by purchasing Beebe Spirit Wear, helping with the Gift
Wrap Sale,
buying books at the Book Fair, utilizing Market Day, collecting Box
Tops for Education from General Mills products or even just dining
out with other Beebe families on the designated Fundraiser nights. |

Opportunities
|
|||||
Volunteering
at Beebe through the Home and School is a great way to meet other
Beebe parents, get to know our wonderful Beebe staff, and most importantly,
get to know the kids and what’s going on in our classrooms.
Opportunities range from one hour commitments to year-long involvements
so there
is sure to be something to fit most schedules. To get involved simply
contact one of our chairpersons listed on the Beebe website or in
the Beebe Student and Parent Handbook. |

Mini
Courses are enrichment activities offered through Home & School
with the help of parent and community volunteers. The program is for
kids in grades 1-5. The courses are held on 2 consecutive Thursdays
in the spring for about 1 ½ hours per session. Parents can
volunteer to share their expertise as an instructor, pitch in as
an assistant
or even help with babysitting. |
