On early dismissal days, what time are the students dismissed?
Kindergarten a.m.       8:15 - 9:55
Kindergarten p.m.       9:55 - 11:35
First - Fifth Gr.             8:15 - 11:35

What are the lunch/recess times for different grades?
First Lunch/recess           11:25 - 12:05     Grades 4 & 5
Second  Lunch/recess     11:55 - 12:35    Grades 1, 2, & 3

How do I report student absences?
Please call the absentee line at 420-6350 prior to 7:45 a.m. and include date, student's name, teacher's name and reason.

Can I bring treats for my child's birthday?
Rather than food/candy we suggest a class gift  (books, games, outdoor playing equipment).

What is the procedure that I need to follow if I need to bring in items that my child has left at home?
Bring the item directly to the "I Forgot Table"outside the school office.

What is the best way to reach my child's teacher if I have questions?
A phone call to school, E-mail or backpack note. Please always check with your teacher at the beginning of the school year as to which method of communication they prefer. (All teachers' E-mail addresses can be found in the student handbook and in the school directory that is sent home in the fall).

How do I become a volunteer?
There are many opportunities via Prairie Home and School and during Orientation to sign up to volunteer. Volunteer opportunities through Home & School can be found on the Home and School web page.

What is Prairie Home and School?
Prairie Home and School is a parent volunteer organization whose primary purpose is to promote closer cooperation and understanding between the school and the home for the benefit of the students.

Who is a member of Prairie Home and School?
Every staff member, parent/guardian is a member of Home and School.

Who can attend Home and School meetings?
Everyone is welcome to attend any and all Home and School meetings.
