Join in the festivities while we "journey" through a series of programs on our "reading odyssey", one per month, geared to capture teens' reading imagination! Beginning in September with Banned Book Week and ending in May with an Oprah Winfrey-style Luncheon and Book Discussion, our Kennedy Reading calendar is filled with read ins, authors, storytellers, and visiting poets, just to name a few.

The American Library Association has provided
opportunities
to access a special teen page for creative writing Teens can share their
writings with teens around the world - free!
Poets can share their poetry for all to enjoy during A Night at the Blue Iguana Cafe! Listen as Kennedy students, parents, and siblings come to an open mike. Listen to soft jazz and enjoy the cafe foods for a total night of poetry.
Check out our " celebration of activities " by tuning in to this web page updated each month! Open our Kennedy "Scrapbook" and catch authors reviewing their latest book or our own students snatching a quiet reading moment! For any questions contact Mrs. Goodman, Learning Resource Center Director or Mrs. Romero, Reading Specialist.
