Is nature a system? In what what sense is the body a system? Are all systems synergistic (more than the sum of their parts)?
What are the strengths and weaknesses of models in helping us understand the world? When have models helped and hindered the progress of science?
Do scientific laws imply constancy? What is a law of nature, and how is it like or unlike social laws?
Are all events or behavior caused? Can orderly patterns and formulas be found to explain all phenomena, even the most apparently random, lucky, or chance? Are patterns of change �out there� or in our heads?
