Charter: Volunteers from each of the 21 school attendance areas are working into the fall of 2001 in response to the belief of the Board of Education and of District 203 Administrators that additional resources are necessary to maintain and build upon our excellent education system. The Board further believes that, at the current level of funding, some programs and services will not be offered to our students in the future. Detail.

By October 8, the 21st Century Committee is to make recommendations to the Board concerning:

  • the current and future needs of our students
  • enhancements needed to further our high quality school district for the future

  • the level of funding needed to meet the needs and accomplish the enhancements through programs, staffing, services, and facilities

  • how, or by what process, to attain such funding
