Naperville Noon Lions Club

Mission Statement

To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.

General Objectives

The Naperville Noon Lions Club is part of Lions International, the world�s largest service organization, and has approximately 80 members, men and women who live the motto �We Serve.�

Our service is focused on the following areas:

  1. Hearing and sight related impairments
  2. Diabetes related concerns
  3. Youth drug awareness programs

District 203 Support Programs

  • Diabetes glucose testing strips for all diabetic students
  • Free eye examinations and glasses for students referred by each school
  • Specific eye, hearing or diabetic needs and services upon request, such as a microscope for visually impaired students at Ranchview Elementary, special computer for visually impaired student at Lincoln Junior High

Fund Raising Activities
 
The Naperville Noon Lions sponsor  four major fund raising events annually:

  1. Car Raffle - held May-Labor Day
  2. Funnel Cake Booth at Rib Fest
  3. Candy Day - held in October
  4. Turkey Trot - 5k race held Thanksgiving Day in downtown Naperville

NOTE:  Each of these activities provides opportunities for students to earn service hours.
